The client

Elsea Park Community Trust is a resident led, not for profit organisation. The obligations of the trust are to manage, maintain and enhance the vast public space and community facilities within the Elsea Park residential development.  Recently The Elsea Park Community Trust has constructed a full size synthetic football pitch within the Elsea Park development. The pitch is owned and operated by Elsea Park for the benefits of residents, Bourne and the wider community

We have a long-standing relationship with the Trust so they approached us at the start of the project to suggest suitable locking solutions and CCTV for the football pitch and the new pavilion.   

The challenge

Any users of the football pitch would always have an allotted time and did not need access all of the time. Elsea Park wanted to be able to quickly and efficiently distribute keys to users of the pitch to only work at certain times of the day and for certain doors. The football pitch and the pavilion needed to be secure at all times and have full surveillance of what was going on.

The solution

Salto KS was considered to be the perfect solution for the locking aspect of the project and a mixture of Hikvision CCTV cameras for the surveillance.  

Salto KS is a straight forward cloud based smart access control solution that offers real time capabilities. Salto KS is a flexible solution that requires no software installation, has remote management capabilities and the ability to send out digital keys to end users. Salto KS gives you full control of all functions and features from the web app or from the mobile app to keep track of events, remotely unlock any door, block users and send out digital keys. The pavilion has a total of 15 electronic locks consisting of handle sets and electronic euro cylinders. It allows the management team of the pitch to distribute digital keys to users of the pitch but to only allow them access to the doors and pitches they need at the specific time they require. The management team of the pitch can get real time events of who is coming and going 24/7 and also have the functionality to remotely open any of the locks if needed.  

Hikvision offer the latest in CCTV technology with a wide range of cameras available to suit all requirements. For this particular project we selected to use a range of Hikvision cameras including dome cameras for the pavilion internally and externally, fixed bullet cameras and PTZ cameras externally covering the pitch and carpark areas. Hikvision cameras offer fantastic functionality, excellent image quality and reliability. The Trust wanted to be able to view the football pavilion and pitch 24/7 and this can all be done via the free to use and free to download Hik-Connect mobile app. 

The result

Using both the Salto KS electronic locking solution and Hikvision cameras we have provided Elsea Park with the perfect solution that covers off everything they require. The systems are both fully scalable so if they require any further cameras or electronic locks in the future this is not a problem.
